The Embodied Sound
A workshop on Alexander Technique and voice
An effortlessly light and multifaceted voice sometimes seems to defy all gravity, to be almost disembodied…yet it is able to skillfully use our body as an instrument.
Those who have access to the resources and regulatory possibilities of their body enjoy its full support in every vocal activity.
The Alexander Technique offers effective tools to harmonize the use of our body and free our voice.
Precision, a full range and subtle nuances of artistic expression thus become our natural qualities.
In this 2-day workshop, we want to convey an understanding of the Alexander Technique and its possible applications as well as provide space to experiment with the expressive repertoire of the voice.
